95L dual-zone fridge/freezer, runs on 12/24V DC or 110-240V AC
The Dometic CFX5 95DZ is a 94 liter, dual-zone electric cooler: a compressor fridge and freezer in one box that runs on 12/24V DC in a vehicle or 100 to 240V AC at home. The two zones let you keep cold food and frozen food at the same time.
Mike has used his CFX5 95DZ for about six months. He bought it for the bed of his truck and has used it in the truck, at the family cabin and in home outages, powered by his EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra. It rides on a slide and holds 37F. He paid full retail. What he likes most is that the zones switch between fridge/freezer and fridge/fridge. What he does not love: the price ("buy once, cry once") and the spring-assist handles snapping back.
Families or overlanders who want a real fridge and freezer on the road, at a cabin, or as an outage fridge they can run off a power station. The dual zones mean you can bring frozen meat and cold drinks in one unit.
It is big and heavy. If you only need a weekend cooler for one or two people, a smaller single-zone fridge costs less and fits more vehicles. Measure your truck bed or cargo area first; at almost 38 inches long it takes real space.
In an outage, a 12V fridge running off a battery can hold your most important cold food while the house fridge stays shut. Use our runtime calculator for refrigerators to estimate how long a power station can keep one going.
