Family Comms Card

How This Tool Works

You answer what radios you own, who is in the house, and how far apart you are. The page builds a PACE plan: phones first, then a radio line, then a no-gear meeting plan. The PDF is made in the browser.

Call signs, repeater notes, and meeting spots stay on this device. The page does not look up a call sign, and it does not pull repeater lists from other sites. You type what you looked up, then confirm it with the repeater owner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool send my call sign anywhere?

No. The card is built in your browser. If you join the email list, that form sends only the email address you type. It does not send the plan.

Do I need a license for FRS?

No. FRS needs no license. GMRS is a $35 FCC fee for 10 years, and the holder must be 18 or older. Each person who transmits on ham needs their own license.

Will this pick repeaters for me?

No. It links to myGMRS and RepeaterBook so you can look. You type the name, frequency, and tone. A listed tone is not permission to use the repeater.
